Summer Scents

Summer's nearly here and it' time to put on your most gorgeous girly summer perfumes!
Here is a review on my favourite floral scents.

Paul Smith Rose is my absolute favourite perfume; I go through bottles and bottles of it. It has a delicate scent of fresh cut roses and green-tea, it’s fruity with a very light sweet sparkle; it has hints of magnolia and violet, but doesn’t have the old-fashioned muskiness you expect from the name. It stays fresh and light and people really notice it, a lot! It’s a natural feminine scent that doesn’t have the chemical smell that a lot of the big name brands do. Love it Love it Love it.

Ralph Lauren Romance is lovely. It's sweet, distinctive, elegant, and feminine with a hint of musk. It doesn’t over power on any level, unless of course you don’t like floral perfumes! It’s not too heavy or musky, but it’s more mature than most ‘girly’ pink perfumes. The name describes it perfectly; it screams romance, roses and champagne by candle light. It’s ideal for special occasions and is always a perfume people notice, but it might be a little too heavy to wear during the day, but in the summer it's perfect for the evening.

Jimmy Choo’s Perfume is more fruity than floral. It opens with fresh pear and ginger, with light hints of roses and undertones of exotic orchid, the overall scent is sweet but heavy. It’s not a perfume I wear during the day but makes you feel a million dollars when you’re getting ready to go out. It’s sexy and seductive and leaves you with a warm feeling, but it’s not a perfume everyone likes, it has such a complex scent that people can easily pick out a flavour they don't like in it. However, the great thing about this perfume is it lasts for ages, you don’t have to keep applying it.

Hugo Boss Femme is a light citrusy perfume, with woody undertones. It’s a very simple sexy floral scent that isn’t going to wow anyone straight away, but the more you wear it the more you love it. I wear this perfume almost as much as my Paul Smith Rose, I just absolutely love it as an everyday wear. It’s a very pretty girly perfume which will linger lightly all day, which is something you don’t usually get from such a light floral perfume.

Euphoria Blossom is a gorgeous fresh perfume, it’s lighter and more feminine than the original Euphoria which is a bit too strong for me. It has a light floral scent with notes of musky orchid and peony, but it had a slightly spicy undertone that gives it a bit of an edge. I’d definitely use more of it if it was easier to get hold of. The only down side with this perfume is it’s so light that you feel you have to keep re-applying it, but really you don’t, you get used to the scent quickly but other people can still catch hints of it.

photo board to showcase your makeup bag collection.
2. Create a blog post showcasing your photo board/picture on your blog.
3. Link it back to bloglovetherapy by entering your link below on their page.
This will allow others to "hop" to your blog to see the post.
The rules:

2. Post about this hop on your blog, twitter, and facebook. This will help drive traffic to the hop. The more people know about it, the more likely you will be discovered.
*Don't forget to mention the hop throughout the week.*
3. Hop around and be inspired.
 So here's whats in mine...

Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse
perfect for covering up open pores and imperfections.
MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation SPF 15
goes a long long way and gives a gorgeous flawless finish.
GOSH Velvet Touch Foundation Primer
a great base for your makeup, leaves your skin silky smooth.
Clinique Pore Minimizer Refining Serum
this is a.m.a.z.i.n.g!! I've been using this for years and it actually works,
it closes up your pores and is great for oily skin.
E45 Cream
I take this everywhere with me, it's great for dry skin and eczema, they do a hand and nail cream that’s worth getting which doesn't leave your hands greasy.
Garnier Pure 24 hours Daily moisturiser
it helps control shine and hydrate the skin and is clay based for oily skin.
O.P.I Nail Lacquer in 'I Pink I Love You'
great for everyday wear, it's long lasting and doesn't chip
(just as well because it ain't cheap!!)
MAC Lustre Lipstick in 'Mellow Mood'
this is a nice light brown with a shimmer, perfect for a bronzed look.
MAC Glaze Lipstick in 'Frou'
i've had this lipstick years and it's absolutely my favourite! It's
vanilla flavoured in a shimmery pink.
GOSH Long Lasting Lip Marker in '002 Pink'
I apply a little of this under my lip balm or lip gloss, it spreads
well and you can layer it up to get a bolder colour.
MAC Dazzleglass in '#1 Snow'
I bought this at Christmas and it's perfect to add a little shimmer
over lipstick, if it stays on long enough because it tastes so good!!
Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighter Concealer Pen
this is perfect for tackling those dark circles and imperfections!
MAC Eye Liner Pencil in 'Ebony'
I've tried liquid eye liners, pens and gels, but I always go back
to the classic pencil to get a smokey eye look.
MAC Pro Longwear Lip Liner Pencil in 'in Anticipation'
this goes perfectly with my lipstick in 'Mellow Mood' it's a
rosey yellow pink and blends really well.
SMASHBOX Eye Shadow Palette Pro
this palette has two shades of brown, a bronze, a beige, a silver
shimmer and black so it's perfect for getting a bronzed look or smokey eyes.
MAC Lady Grey Quad Eye Shadow Palette
includes 'All Races' 'Tendersmoke' 'Lady Grey' and 'Hazy Day'.
MAC 6 Smoke And Mirrors Eye Shadow Palette
include 'Fire In Her Eyes' 'Wide-Eyed Wonder' 'Black Magique' 'Spell No.9' 'Deception' and 'Smoke & Mirrors'.

I also use...

MAC Zoom Waterfast Lash Mascara
this is great if you wear contact lenses because it's waterproof
and doesn't flake off, it also builds up really well if you want extra oomph!!
California Tan Sunless Bronzing Powder
I hardly ever wear blusher, instead I go for a bronzer with a bit of shimmer,
this one is great and comes in a compact with a mirror and brush

You've probably guessed by now that I love MAC Cosmetics!!!

Thanks for reading! x x x

Wedding

I recently went to a friend's wedding reception and spent ages deciding what I should wear...
can't wear white, green's unlucky, black's funerial and I desperatly wanted something
to go with a pair of coral suede court shoes that i've been dying to wear for ages!!
So I went for Navy!!!

This is what I wore...

The shoes were from ASOS a long time ago and were called Polly,
the clutch is the exact same colour and material and is £27.00 from River Island
and my dress was £24.00 from ASOS

The dress is the most amazing soft chiffon with a silk underskirt,
it has a very low v-neck on it and tape doesn't stick to the material, so
I pinned it with a tiny black safety pin! Worked perfectly, and the tie around the
waist is perfect for clinching you in and giving you a nice shape.
Will definitely wear again!
